Meet Rowan's Assistant Principal

Ms. Jessica Scerbo

Assistant Principal

 

Ms. Scerbo serves as Assistant Principal at Rowan Elementary School in the Seneca Valley School District, bringing 24 years of experience in public education. Most recently, she served at Rowan as an Instruction and Intervention Specialist and ESL teacher, where she supported students and staff through data-informed instruction and targeted interventions.

Prior to joining Seneca Valley, Ms. Scerbo spent 19 years in the Ambridge Area School District as a classroom teacher and Title I reading and math interventionist. During that time, she developed a strong foundation in equitable, student-centered instructional practices. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College, a master’s degree from Chatham University, and a Principal Certification from Point Park University.

Ms. Scerbo is deeply committed to supporting teachers and creating authentic, meaningful learning experiences for all students. She values strong family partnerships, a whole-child approach to education and fostering a warm, inclusive school environment. Open and consistent communication with families is central to her work, as she believes strong home-school relationships are essential to student success. Her top priority is ensuring every student feels safe, confident and excited to come to school each day.

Reflecting on her work, Ms. Scerbo shares, “I am thrilled to continue working toward Seneca Valley’s vision of consistently putting students first and making decisions that best serve our school community.”
